Professional Statement

I have been promoting languages, especially German, all my life. Growing up in a small country like the Principality of Liechtenstein I learned very early the need for language instruction and language preservation. I travelled extensively recognizing the beauty and the usefulness of languages. I worked for the Berlitz Schools of Languages in Switzerland and in the US. I do believe that languages are part of our culture. We inherit them and we have a sworn duty to pass them on to the next generation. With the European Union weathering growing pains German is becoming increasingly important as the predominant language of the EU.
