Professional Statement

I have been promoting the German language throughout my professional career teaching on various levels, from high school to college, as well as running a summer program for American students in Germany. With the increasing loss of German programs in our schools, the GLSC schools provide an alternative, perhaps the only one, for many Americans to retain their cultural and linguistic heritage; for others they offer an opportunity to learn one of the most important languages in the world today, especially with the increasing significance of the European Union.
